I have a profound admiration for dancers and athletes. Their lives rhyme with discipline, passion, sacrifice, strength, beauty... I fell in love with Flamenco during a business trip to Spain. There they were, extraordinary women opening old wounds, stomping over a broken heart. Painful memories never felt so prized, so revived, than when watching these chiaroscuro living tableaux. "La Flamenca" symbolizes "love and pain". She reminds us that we can experience love and loss and still grow…stronger!
